Nicole Masnicak (can be pronounced Mass-nih-kak; or take your chances of pronouncing Masničak if you’re feeling bold) is a writer based in Philadelphia. She has a BA in English from Boston University and is currently working toward her MFA in Creative Writing from Rosemont College.
The child of Czechoslovak immigrants, Nicole draws inspiration from her family and their friends. Her work dissects all forms of grief, including loss of people and place. Her current project investigates the reasons people choose to leave – or stay in – the only place they’ve ever known.
